
As a voluntary assistance program of the Special Monitoring Mission of the International Human Rights Commission and Shri Hela Cultural Collaboration Foundation, on october 01, 2023, the officials of the Special Monitoring Mission in Sri Lanka organized a special education and nutritious food program for school children.
According to Dr. Chrishantha Dissanayake , the Commissioner of the Sri Lanka at the International Human Rights Commission and Founder / chairman / Director General of Shri Hela Cultural Collaboration Foundation. Mr. Amaradasa Dilankarachi, Mr. Sadeva Amaradasa, and Mr. Hemantha Vitarana participated. Here, Dr. chrishantha Dissanayake asked the participants of the program that they should not limit themselves to just one day for the children and make a day full of commitment and safety for them every day.
This special program was held at Batapotella Siri Sarasavi Primary School, Dambadeniya Education Division, Kurunegala District, North West Province of Sri Lanka. Children from 05 difficult schools of Dambadeniya Education Division participated in this program and the Batapotella ” Shine Star ” Sports Club gave full support by organizing this program and the support of the Sri Lanka Veterans Welfare Association teacher advisors was also received for this. 1.5 lakhs of Sri Lanka money had been spent for this.
