
As a voluntary assistance program of the Special Monitoring Mission of the International Human Rights Commission and Shri Hela Cultural Collaboration Foundation, on October 2, 2023, the officials of the Special Monitoring Mission in Sri Lanka organized a special education development and counseling program for school children in Sri Lanka.
According to Dr. chrishantha Dissanayake, the Commissioner of Sri Lanka at the International Human Rights Commission and Founder / chairman / Director General of Shri Hela Cultural Collaboration Foundation. Mr. Amaradasa Dilankarachi, Pastor Ananda Kumar, Mr. Hemantha Witharana, Mr. Jayatissa Athauda hetti, Mr. Harrison Somesiri, Mr. Udara Ratnayake, and Mrs. Sakura Wasanthi participated.
Here, Dr. chrishantha Dissanayake asked the participants of the program to be more careful than before, as the future of the country is determined by the mental and educational strength of the children.
This special program was held at Giri / Napokuna Primary School, Pannala Education Division, North West Province of Sri Lanka.
The children of 05 schools of Pannala Education Division participated in this and the Kurunegala District Coordinator of Sri Lanka Scout Association Mr. Aruna and Shri Hela Higher Education Academy gave full support in organizing this program. Mr. Senarath Lankathilaka, Director of Education, Giriulla Division, and Mr. Chinthaka Ratnasooriya, Principal of Napokuna Primary School also provided support on behalf of the educational institutions, and teacher advisors Mrs. Mallika De Silva, Mrs. Oshadhi and Mr. Sarath Peiris also provided support for this
