Dr. Chrishantha J K M Dissanayake was born on February 02, 1981, in the beautiful historical Ganankate village of Pannala Divisional Secretariat, Kurunegala District, North West Province, Sri Lanka, to Mr. Hector Polycap Marys Dissanayake and Mrs. Lily Margaret. He was the fourth child in the family of six, and with his father’s death at a child age, he grew up under the care of his mother amid various economic difficulties.
